Rodney Foster
With 26 years of service, Chief Foster has built a legacy marked by courage, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and training of firefighters across the state. Chief Foster has consistently been at the forefront of improving Oklahoma’s fire service.
Chief Foster started his time in the fire service is 1998, with the Midwest City Fire Department. Throughout his career at MWFD, he focused mainly on the training division. Chief Foster received his Master’s degree in Fire and Emergency Management from Oklahoma State University in 2013. In 2019, Chief Foster was selected as the Fire Chief of Shawnee Fire Department. He later retired from SFD to serve as the Assistant Director of Oklahoma State Fire Service Training in Stillwater, OK.
Chief Foster and his wife, Meredith, have been married for 32 years and reside in Stillwater, OK. They have two daughters and a son-in-law. In his free time, he likes to fish, take care of his cows, and spend time with family.
